Popular photography blog PetaPixel picked up a unique topic talked about by an even more popular photographer, Gary Fong. If you hadn’t heard, Gary lost his house and most of his possessions to a fire earlier this year and while he had the right mindset to have a fire-proof safe and other digital file management systems in place, a lot of others will not have the same solution set up. As a result, he has been working on a precautionary, low-cost solution to protect your valuable assets, like your hard drives and physical negatives.
It’s an interesting idea but we’re more interested in what you think about it. We’re not exactly fire or engineering experts. Does the idea hold up? Should someone call up MythBusters and have them test it out?
